Along the Bavarian Alps and past lake Chiemsee, we will take you to a top Austrian UNESCO World Heritage Site: Salzburg in the famous Salzkammergut region. Travel time will be around 2 hours, passing by mountains that you may want to return to for some fantastic hike in summer. Sightseeing will last around 2.5 hours - with options to explore the cosy town that Mozart lived in - and that many students call their home today. Additionally you will have the opportunity to discover and learn about world-famous "The Sound of Music" on your own. Let yourself be carried away in the narrow streets of the picturesque old town, discover the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in the famous Getreidegasse, walk over to Domplatz or visit Fortress Hohensalzburg - another heritage site - landmark of the city and largest preserved castle in Central Europe.
From November 21 to December 26 be sure to stop by at one of the most famous and traditional Christmas markets in the world.
